ERP Demo
Project Overview
ERP Demo is a complete ERP for a small trading and service company, built from scratch as a public online demo. There is no login: anyone can open it and try every module on realistic, fictional data — customers, products, offers, stock, staff and business trips covering the last six months.
Modules
-
Offers:
Sequential numbers per year, product or custom lines, discounts, VAT and several currencies with live totals. Workflow: draft → sent → accepted / rejected → delivered from stock, plus duplicate and a printable A4 page / PDF. -
Stock:
A stock ledger where every receipt, issue and inventory adjustment is a movement with the balance after it; stock levels with the most urgent items first, and stock can never go below zero. -
Customers & Products:
Companies and individuals with tax and bank details; a product catalog with a category tree, purchase / sale prices, live margin and minimum stock alerts. -
Personnel:
Staff with generated avatars, positions and tasks per department, and an org chart built from the managers. -
Delegations (business trips):
Trips with ordered customer stops and an approval flow like in a real company (initiated → pending approval → approved → completed). Routes follow the real roads (OSRM) on an interactive map; flights are drawn as arcs. -
Reports & Home page:
General, customer, product, stock, delegation and personnel reports with charts, and a work page with the sales of the last 12 weeks and the offers that need attention.
Built to Run as a Public Demo
- Self-protection: limits per visitor IP for new records, changes and requests, so scrapers and spam cannot flood it.
- Activity log: every create, update and delete is recorded with the old and new values.
- Daily reset: a scheduled task rebuilds all the demo data every night, dated to the current day.
- Bilingual: English and Romanian, picked automatically by the visitor's country, with a switch in the top bar.
Tech Stack & Tools
- Backend: Laravel 13 (PHP 8.4), MySQL
- Frontend: Inertia.js + Vue 3 + TypeScript, Tailwind CSS 4, Vite
- Charts & Maps: Chart.js, MapLibre GL with OpenFreeMap tiles, OSRM road routes
- Quality: 155 automated tests (Pest), static analysis (Larastan / PHPStan), Pint
- Hosting: my own Linux server (Apache, PHP-FPM, Let's Encrypt SSL, scheduled tasks)
This project shows how I design and build a complete business application end to end — data model, workflows, reports, a polished interface and a secure deployment.
